Methane and CO2 at Lake Kivu
Here's an interesting NYT article on the deadly effect hidden gas flows can have around Lake Kivu. Goma, the DRC town discussed in the article, is directly across the border from Gisenyi, the Rwandan town I visited about 6 weeks ago.
